John Leonard
Founder, Pivot Protocols
John Leonard is the founder of Pivot Protocols and the developer of the original clinical frameworks behind the platform — including Compressed-Cycle Opioid Dependence, G-protein Biased Autonomic Dysregulation, High Frequency Opioids, the Volatility Density Index, and the Pharmacologic Cycle Overwrite.
He previously served as Founder and CEO of Redemption House, a nonprofit recovery program in the Twin Cities, where he spent more than a decade working with individuals navigating early recovery and stabilization. Prior to that he served as Director of Marketing and Intake at The Retreat in Wayzata, Minnesota — helping grow the organization from a small residential program to a full continuum of services supporting individuals and families from across the U.S. and abroad.
The frameworks above came out of a specific gap. People using kratom extracts and 7-OH products were producing a dependence pattern the clinical literature hadn't named and existing tools hadn't been built to address. People on Suboxone who wanted a structured exit had almost nowhere to turn. The patterns were consistent. The vocabulary didn't exist. The tools didn't exist. Building them was the only available response.
John brings long-term personal recovery from opioid addiction to this work.
He lives in Minnetonka, Minnesota. He enjoys cycling, fishing, working on cars, and spending time outdoors.
